  9. I think that when they gave them their guns they felt more trustworthy but still suspicious. And since Bird Woomen knew the chief, as her brother, that put them at ease.

  10. I think when they got the guns, they felt safer. I thought that Lewis and Clark gave them the guns so they feel safe and they could use them to hunt. Captain Lewis also said that if he was lying, they could shoot him, so they wouldn't think he was lying.
