Ultimately, why did Lewis and Clark decide to hire Toussaint Charbonneau, despite the fact that he greatly annoyed Captain Lewis when they first met? Do you think they made a good decision? Why or why not?
i think they made a great decision to hire him because his wife Sacagawea because she can speak the language of the native American and can help translate. they hired him so they can work with his wife
I think it was a good decision because they need more people on the expedition. They also needed a person who speak their language and Shoshone which would be Sacagawea.
I thought it was a good decision because the captains needed another boatman and someone who can speak Shoshone which is his wife, Sacagawea.
