On page 157, during his tirade against himself, Captain Lewis says, "You delayed the party by two weeks. Those two wasted weeks just might kill every man!" What do you think he meant by that?
I thought he meant that Winter was coming to soon, so if they don't get over the Rocky's in time, all the men might die.
ReplyDeleteI thought that he meat that winter was coming soon and if they do not get to or get over the mountains in time the coldness would kill everyone.
ReplyDeleteI thought that he also it means that they can't work in the winter so they wasted time. And the Rocky Mountains are very dangerous.
ReplyDeleteI think he meant that its getting colder and because they have to wait two weeks the cold could kill every man.
ReplyDeleteHe meant that if the snow falls the men will die of hunger because they can't cross the mountains.
