At the end of this chapter, Seaman thinks, "I think this was among the happiest days the Captain ever had." Why do you suppose Seaman felt that way?
I think he thought he was so happy because he saw a buffalo and a grizzly bear and shot a baby cow but he had to give it to the grizzly so he did not get chased.
I think he felt this way because he could be care-free.
