On page 254, Seaman, while discussing Captain Clark's medical skills, says, "He did the best he could, but admitted that often he really wasn't doing much for their afflictions."
What do you think an affliction is? What makes you think that?
I think that affliction also means a health problem because my mom has used that word before and by context from the book and my moms mouth I think that it means that.
I think an affliction is a disease or a type of sickness. I think it means that because the sentence says, "...he really wasn't doing much for their afflictions." and the paragraph was talking about how he would help people when they were sick, so I thought affliction has something to do with sicknesses.
An affliction is a health problem.I think that because I played Pokemon and it said your Pokemon is afflicted by hail and then your health goes down.
