What message was Captain Lewis sending to Charbonneau on page 147?

  11. Much of this is right on point, but you need to reread the fourth paragraph on this page, and pay special attention to the latter part ("... but if you ever accuse me...") of the paragraph. What is Captain Lewis saying to Charbonneau there?

  12. Charbonneau was telling the Captain that he was just using Bird Woman to get horses but he is jeopoardizing a member of the party.

  15. I think he wanted not going to tolerate Carbonneau's ignorance even if he had to have him get off the ship, because he was jeopardizing Bird Woman and Pomp.
