Based on the interactions with the Tetons in this chapter, what might you anticipate the relations between the Tetons and the Lewis and Clark expedition might be like?

Considering that "there was not a sliver of trust between our two tribes," why do you suppose the Tetons invited the captains to their village?

  1. I think they will not be good friends with each other. I think the Tetons invited them to the camp because the Tetons thought they could steal food or supplies for the expedition.

I do not think it will be fun with the Tetons.

  6. I think they invited them to brag. I think they will try to get in the way of the expedition, but Lewis and Clark won't allow it.
